The domestic turmoil of Dede Sunandar has apparently had a serious impact on the continuity of his career in the digital creative industry. This 35-year-old comedian admitted to losing many important accesses to manage his personal Instagram account for some time.
The account, which has hundreds of thousands of followers, is now reportedly under the full control of his wife, Karen Hertatum. This has made it very difficult for Dede to provide clarity to clients who want to collaborate with him.
"My Instagram is experiencing errors and it always says things like that, but you know, clients definitely need clarity, 'When can we collaborate, Bang?' he said, confused as well," said Dede Sunandar when met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, Thursday (14/05/2026).
Dede Sunandar feels very disappointed with this situation because many advertising job offers have ultimately been technically hindered. He admitted that he cannot provide optimal performance for every paid post that has been agreed upon with certain brands beforehand.
The father of three children actually really wants to manage the social media account independently to earn a halal living. However, he feels bound by a past promise to have a joint account like popular artist couples in Indonesia.
To address this complex issue, Dede plans to immediately seek help from information technology experts or cyber police. He hopes that his digital identity can be restored to him intact without any interference from others
Many business associates have started asking about the activity of that account because its follower count is already quite large and promising. Dede feels very sad seeing his valuable asset now unable to be used to cover basic living expenses.
"I can't open my Instagram. I don't know why my IG is like this? I'm confused, that's it," said the man born in Ciamis with a resigned expression.
Dede Sunandar publicly apologizes to the advertisers who feel disadvantaged due to the technical difficulties and personal issues. He promises to resolve the turmoil with the Instagram account soon so he can be productive again in the entertainment world of the homeland.
