Due to the Corona Outbreak, the Trial of the 'Salty Fish Trio' Case is Conducted via Teleconference

Kapanlagi.com - Today, Monday (6/4/2020), the continuation of the trial for the 'Salty Fish' video case involving Galih Ginanjar and the married couple Pablo Putera Benua and Rey Utami was held. Unlike before, this duplication agenda trial was conducted at separate locations.

The judge, public prosecutor, and legal representatives were in the courtroom of the South Jakarta District Court. Meanwhile, the three detainees remained in the detention center of the Jakarta Metro Police.

"Today, the trial proceeded as usual, using the teleconference system. The three detainees were in the same room, sitting in the same positions as in the courtroom, but the difference is that they were in the detention center," said Sugiyarto Atmowidjoyo, the legal representative of Galih Ginanjar, when contacted by phone.

1. Newly Ready

According to Sugiyarto Atmowidjoyo, the trial process using teleconference should have been conducted several weeks earlier. However, the Rutan Polda Metro Jaya has not prepared all the necessary equipment to ensure a smooth process.

"Indeed, it should have been implemented since the previous days, but the Rutan Polda Metro Jaya was not ready for it. Well, it was only prepared today, so the trial is conducted through teleconference," he explained.

2. Wants Galih Ginanjar to be Free

Furthermore, as the legal counsel, Sugiyarto Atmowidjoyo certainly wants Galih Ginanjar to be free. As previously revealed, if his client did not do what Fairuz A Rafiq referred to as the informant in his BAP.

"As the legal counsel, I hope Galih can be free, even though the demand is higher, which is three and a half years. Plus six months subsidiary or a fine of Rp 100 million, if accumulated, it would be four years and two months," said Sugiyarto.
