Dwi Sasono Admits to Regularly Using Marijuana for the Past Month, This is What His Lawyer Says

In front of the police and the media, Dwi Sasono admitted to regularly smoking marijuana for the past month. He did it because he had trouble sleeping during the COVID-19 pandemic.

His lawyers, Muhammad Firdaus and Aris Marassabessy, also stated that Dwi Sasono is just a victim. They claimed to have submitted an assessment to the authorities. They will now only wait for the police investigation process before the case is taken to court.

When asked about the reasons why Dwi Sasono used drugs, Muhammad Firdaus conveyed the answer according to his client's confession, "So as we heard earlier, it's because of Covid, the consequences of Covid. So many of us can't engage in activities, but some channel it in a positive way and some channel it in a negative way."

"But as we heard earlier, the person has apologized and admitted his mistake. So let's pray together, hopefully, humans can make mistakes, and we can get back on the right path," he added when met at the South Jakarta Police Station on Monday (1/6).

2. Hoping for Rehabilitation

It doesn't stop there, Aris Marassabessy also hopes that Dwi Sasono can be rehabilitated. However, as his legal representative, he can only wait for the results of the examination process.

"The hope is definitely rehabilitation because he is a user, as stated by the Head of Public Relations earlier, he has been using regularly for the past month. We still don't know whether he had used before that or not," he concluded.
