Father Buried, Doddy Sudrajat Unable to Hold Back Tears

Kapanlagi.com - Doddy Sudrajat's father, Haji Abas Sabri, was buried at TPU Malaka, Pondok Kelapa, on Friday (18/2/2022). Several mourners accompanied Haji Abas Sabri to his final resting place. Most of them were Haji Abas Sabri's children and grandchildren.

At 13:58 WIB, Vanessa Angel's grandfather's body was immediately taken down from the ambulance. Doddy Sudrajat, along with several others, carried his father's body to the grave.

Then, Doddy Sudrajat and three others went down to the grave of his beloved father. Once the body was lowered, Doddy Sudrajat was asked to recite the call to prayer and Iqomah (qomat) from the grave.

During the burial process, Doddy Sudrajat and his wife, Puput, couldn't hold back their tears as they saw their father being buried. Not only that, Doddy's child, Mayang, who was also present to accompany his grandfather to his final resting place, looked so sad.

After the burial, Doddy Sudrajat and the other mourners recited the tahlil prayer led by one of the family members. Then, after reciting the prayer for Haji Abas Sabri, Doddy and the other mourners scattered flowers on his father's grave.

2. Passed Away at the Age of 91

Haji Abas Sabri took his last breath at his residence in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (17/2/2022). Haji Abas Sabri passed away at the age of 91.

Doddy Sudrajat mentioned that his father passed away due to old age. Moreover, there was no history of any illness experienced by his father.

"My father, Alhamdulillah, is healthy, without any history of illness. Yes, he passed away due to old age. So, for the past three years, his eyesight has been deteriorating. His hearing is also not good, and his memory is not good either," said Doddy at TPU Malaka, East Jakarta, Friday (18/2/2022).

Throughout his life, Haji Abas Sabri was someone who lived a healthy lifestyle. Not only did he maintain a healthy diet, but Mayang's grandfather also regularly exercised.

Apparently, this also influenced Doddy Sudrajat to adopt his father's lifestyle.

"For three years, I haven't been to the doctor, just stayed at home, not sick at all. Yes, my father is really tough. He is also strong in sports, doesn't smoke, and serves as an example for me, a role model. He likes sports, eats vegetables, and has a healthy lifestyle. That's probably why he lived until 91," said Doddy Sudrajat.
