Kapanlagi.com - Deep sorrow and loss were evident on the face of West Java Governor, Ridwan Kamil after the funeral procession of his son, Emmeril Khan Mumtadz or Eril was completed. As we know, Eril's body was buried today, Monday (13/6).

This was also felt by all family members and close friends who attended the funeral. As a father, Ridwan Kamil delivered a writing about his late son during his speech.

Reading his letter at the Islamic Centre Baitul Ridwan Cimaung, Bandung Regency, West Java, Ridwan Kamil successfully touched the hearts of everyone who attended Eril's funeral. Curious about the contents of the heartbreaking message?

1. Love Message for Eril

"The death of Eril is a truly devastating loss in a moment of almost parallel time, we feel the greatest loss but at the same time we feel overwhelmed with love. Allow me to express a piece of love, who Eril is and what wisdom there is in his departure.

14 days can feel short in daily routine life, but these 14 days have become so long in our lives. We wonder why, Allah, why this long, why not faster so that everything can quickly pass, so that we who are alive do not get too emotional for too long, but time is Allah's secret that is impossible to break, especially when it comes to birth and death.

Time is relative, that's what wise people say, and finally we accept it with an open heart, because we can find many bright clues. In a span of 14 days that were honestly very tiring, but we also learned many lessons and received wisdom, about Eril's life which at first glance felt too short, but upon reflection, it was actually full of benefits," said Ridwan Kamil.

2. Letting Go of Eril's Departure

Ridwan Kamil continued, "23 years may not be enough to produce great works, but it is proven to be enough to become a person who is loved with greatness. We learn about life that is not only about the length of days, but about every breath used to do good even if it's small in daily life.

We let go of Eril because we finally realize that Allah has fulfilled all of his deeds to cover the possibility of his mistakes. It may be difficult, but we have actually prepared our hearts that we will never again see his body for the last time, isn't it that Eril was born in New York which is far away, why not if he died in Switzerland which is also not close.

Isn't every inch of land owned by Allah who determines all departures and returns. The flow of prayers from various parts of the country is more than enough signs for us to believe that perhaps Allah wants his return to be welcomed by heaven and earth."

3. Expressions of Gratitude

"How could we not feel blessed by the grace and favor when this body, which had been lying in the water for days, is still intact and perfect? That is one of our beliefs, proof of a miracle that finally, Alhamdulillah, we were given the opportunity to see the sign of Allah's power, a lesson for us who believe, and those who are skilled in reading signs. Eril's death is a great loss and a truly powerful experience in a moment of time that is almost parallel. We feel the greatest loss, but at the same time, we feel overwhelmed by the great love.

Finally, we are very grateful to have been blessed with a son who, in his life, even in his return, still brings love to us, his parents. Thank you, hatur nuhun, jazakallah khairun katsiran, for all the love and prayers offered for Eril almarhum, may Allah reward all of you with multiplied goodness," said Ridwan Kamil as he read a love letter for his late son.
