Hotman Paris Hutapea has once again drawn attention after he openly mentioned that he had offered Paula Verhoeven to be his assistant. The statement was made by Hotman after Paula contacted him to ask for legal assistance regarding news of her divorce from Baim Wong.
The famous lawyer explained that the offer to become a personal assistant was actually made in a joking context. He mentioned that at the time he was in Bali and was enjoying the nightlife atmosphere with his friends.
"It was actually just a joke, because at that time I was dancing at Atlas, Bali," said Hotman in the Kapten Tendean area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (22/4/2025).
Hotman did not deny that the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere made him get caught up in the joking. However, he also did not rule out the possibility of realizing his words if there is indeed intent from Paula herself.
"If she really wants to be an assistant, I can pay her (more) than what her husband pays, wow," said Hotman jokingly.
The conversation between Hotman and Paula began when the model and former wife of Baim Wong contacted the lawyer via text message. Paula requested a legal opinion regarding news that mentioned infidelity in her divorce ruling.
In response to that, Hotman emphasized that the content of Paula's message is not something that needs to be hidden. He even stated that the content of the chat is more beneficial for Paula, especially in clarifying public perception.
"It's okay because that's a chat that benefits her. It benefits her and that (about) the CCTV results is fine, right?" he said.
