Andrew Andika was secured by the Jakarta West Police regarding allegations of drug abuse. In his explanation, Deputy Chief of Police AKBP Teuku Arsya Khadafi revealed that Andrew had just started using the illegal substances.

According to Arsya, Andrew's decision to use drugs was triggered by household problems he was facing with his wife, Tengku Dewi Putri. It is known that the two are in the process of divorce.

"One of the suspects stated that the use of this substance was due to facing family problems," he said during a press conference at the Metro Police, Jakarta West, on Tuesday (1/10).

Arsya emphasized that the unstable household conditions were the main reason Andrew fell into drug abuse. "Just recently, that became one of the reasons he used this (drugs)," he remarked.

Andrew was arrested on Thursday night, September 26, by the Narcotics Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police. He was apprehended along with five friends, consisting of three men and two women, including one well-known influencer.

They were arrested at two different locations, namely in Bogor and South Jakarta, in an operation involving several police officers. This arrest has attracted public attention, considering Andrew's reputation in the entertainment industry.

After the arrest, the police immediately conducted a urine test on Andrew and his five companions. The results showed that Andrew Andika tested positive for amphetamines and methamphetamines.

The police did not stop at the arrest stage, but have also directed the six suspects to undergo further assessments. The results of the assessments indicated that they need to undergo rehabilitation to address their drug abuse issues.

Meanwhile, Andrew Andika's divorce hearing at the Cibinong Religious Court in Bogor is still ongoing. Tengku Dewi remains firm in her decision to divorce.
