Jennifer Jill Officially Sentenced to 6 Months Rehabilitation, Escaping Prison Sentence for Drug-Related Case

Kapanlagi.com - The drug case involving Jennifer Jill has finally reached its climax. Although she was initially sentenced to prison by the prosecutor, the judge ultimately issued the final decision, which allows the wife of actor Ajun Perwira to undergo rehabilitation.

This decision was certainly welcomed by Jennifer Jill and her lawyer, Sahala Siahaan. After the trial, Sahala expressed satisfaction with the judge's decision to sentence his client to rehabilitation instead of imprisonment.

"In our opinion, what we fought for, what we wanted to prove in court, both from experts and witnesses, is that Sister JJ is more suitable for rehabilitation rather than imprisonment. And the judge agrees that victims of abuse and addiction cannot be imprisoned," Sahala said after the trial.

Sahala also believes that Jennifer Jill is satisfied and happy with the outcome of the decision. "Certainly, she should be happy with this condition. It means that her desires and efforts to demand her rights for justice have been granted by the judge," he explained.

Sahala also appreciates the judges who consider Supreme Court Circular Number 4 of 2010 in delivering their verdict on his client. The circular contains provisions on placing drug abusers, victims, and addicts in medical and social rehabilitation institutions.

"This is the most important essence in law enforcement that not all drug cases, especially addicts, abusers, and victims, should be imprisoned," he added.

The duration of Jennifer Jill's rehabilitation imposed by the West Jakarta District Court itself is 6 months. Hopefully, Jennifer Jill can learn from this case in the future.
