JKT48 Deadly Duet with Rhoma Irama at Indosiar's Anniversary: Like Being with Their Own Father!

Kapanlagi.com - The 31st anniversary celebration of Indosiar presented unexpected surprises. The teen idol group JKT48 was chosen to collaborate with the King of Dangdut, Rhoma Irama. This cross-generational and genre collaboration became the main highlight of the "Konser Raya 31 Indosiar Luar Biasa" held at Studio Emtek, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, on Saturday (10/01/2026).

Helisma Mauludzunia, one of the JKT48 members, expressed her happiness to once again enliven the Indosiar stage. However, the opportunity to duet with Rhoma Irama is something very special for her and her colleagues. Helisma admitted that Rhoma Irama feels very close and protective, like a father figure to them.

"It feels like a father figure, like being with a dad," she said when met at Studio Emtek, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, on Saturday (10/01/2026).

1. JKT48 Feels Honored to Duet with Rhoma Irama

Despite the significant age gap, JKT48 feels very honored to be able to share the stage with this music legend from the homeland. Indah Cahya Nabilla added that this collaboration is a great honor that they never imagined before.

"Yes, it is a huge honor for us, because we get the opportunity to collaborate with one of Indonesia's legendary singers," said Indah.

2. JKT48 Researches Rhoma Irama's Songs for Deeper Understanding

The members of JKT48 also shared how they had to do some small research to delve into Rhoma Irama's songs. In fact, some younger members like Trisha had to find out about the songs of the King of Dangdut because they were not born during his peak era.

"And the songs, maybe our younger sister here (pointing at Trisha) wasn't born yet, so she had to search for the songs first. So, the more we delve into it, we found out that the songs are really good," added Helisma.

3. JKT48 Performs Darah Muda with Rhoma Irama

Their performance of the hit song "Darah Muda" with a unique arrangement successfully captivated the audience. The energetic choreography typical of JKT48 combined with Rhoma Irama's dangdut style created a fresh and entertaining harmony.

Although their tight rehearsal schedule prevented them from practicing directly with Rhoma Irama beforehand, JKT48 was still able to perform cohesively and at their best. They proved their high professionalism as young performers ready to take on new challenges.

"Coincidentally, we each did our own GR (general rehearsal). But it's enough to, you know, blend together. Because collaborating is actually difficult, right?" Helisma stated.

4. Dangdut Can Be Enjoyed by All Walks of Life

This collaboration proves that dangdut music can be enjoyed by all walks of life, including the younger generation. JKT48 hopes their performance can bring a new color to the Indonesian music industry.
