Lawyer Seeks Suspension of Detention for Jonathan Frizzy, Psychological Condition as Reason

Ijonk's psychological condition is one of the strong reasons behind the request. Ijonk, who has never dealt with the law, certainly feels a deep emotional impact. "It's just the policy from the prosecutor's office on how the process of his detention suspension will be, we leave it to the authority of the prosecutor's office," said Lamgok.

Lamgok also described Ijonk's emotional state as burdened. The drastic changes in his life, combined with his health condition that has not yet recovered, have put extraordinary pressure on Ijonk. "His condition is certainly that of someone who has never been in contact with the law; he must be somewhat shaken and shocked. Especially since his health condition has not yet improved," said Lamgok.

Ida Bagus Ivan Dharmadipradja, another attorney for Ijonk, also expressed his team's confidence in the legal process. Nevertheless, they will continue to evaluate every effort that can be made for the best interests of their client, especially regarding the rights of the suspect.

"We believe in the process, but we also look at the suspect's article; if we feel it's enough, there are efforts that we may examine again for what is best for our client," said Ivan.

The family of Ijonk has also established close coordination with the legal team, showing full support. They are very hopeful that the detention suspension can be granted, considering Ijonk's cooperative history so far. 

"The family is coordinating with us; this is just the beginning of the detention, we don’t know what the future holds, whether there will be a suspension or not. From the legal team and the family, we are optimistic that for health reasons, it should be suspended," Ivan explained.

Ivan added that Ijonk has always been cooperative since the beginning of this case. This is a strong argument for the request for a suspension of detention, as there is no concern that Ijonk will try to destroy evidence or flee.

"Because it needs to be conveyed, before this he was also very cooperative, so there’s nothing to worry about him destroying evidence and so on, that’s not the case," Ivan asserted.

Lamgok also recounted Ijonk's message. He is enduring pain but respects the legal process. "Yes, he just conveyed that indeed his condition now is that he is enduring pain, but he respects the legal process that is ongoing. However, the impression of entering prison for an ordinary person is certainly shocking, overwhelming, but he is strong in facing this," explained Lamgok.
