Not Only CD, DIVO Album 'Cerita Tentang Cinta' Released in USB Flash Disk Card Format

Kapanlagi.com - Five male solo singers, namely Sandhy Sondoro, Marcell Siahaan, Bams, Rio Febrian, and Virzha joined in a compilation album titled DIVO (Cerita Tentang Cinta). Interestingly, this album is not only in CD format but has just been released in USB Flash Disk Card format.

This is a new breakthrough by GMI Records to adjust to technological developments and answer the demands of the public.

“Yes, this is our answer to the demand from the public. Some people can easily find players (if it's USB) like in new cars, there is no CD slot. So we present this option. Because this is a new product, we from GMI Records feel it is suitable for legendary singers in the country and it quickly spreads,” said Dandy from GMI Records during a press conference at KFC Kemang, South Jakarta, Thursday (23/6)

1. Sandhy Sondoro and Friends are Enthusiastic

Sandhy Sondoro and other fellow singers are also excited about the new format of the DIVO album.

“For me, it feels great, it can be likened to the first experiment, which means we are the first choice in this flash disk format. I am very happy,” said Sandhy Sondoro.

“For me, it has passed the era from cassette to CD to digital. That's just the way the era keeps going, but music remains the basic. In my opinion, whatever the sales form or promotional activities, the result is still the work that we give to our listeners,” added Rio Febrian.

Meanwhile, Marcell Siahaan shared the process of making this album, which was done at each member's home due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. He also expressed his happiness to be involved in the DIVO (Cerita Tentang Cinta) album project because he can finally meet and sing together again.

"What's interesting is that we worked individually, the pandemic didn't allow us to gather in one studio. So we did everything at our own homes and then gathered everything in one USB flashdisk card," said Marcell Siahaan.

3. Happy to Sing Together

Marcell Siahaan revealed that he felt a longing to sing together with these people (DIVO). Because of the two-year pandemic, it gave a kind of emotional buildup.

"There is an emotional buildup that is not easy to overcome and suddenly there is this project where we can work together again. Surely this doesn't stop at just a compilation but there will be promotional tours and performances. I am happy, this is like a blessing for me," said Marcell Siahaan.
