Based on internal information from the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), a 'special request' has been identified from a certain entity to Meta (Instagram). Although the identity of the requester remains concealed, strong indications suggest the use of influence that exceeds procedural boundaries to intervene in platform policy. This phenomenon raises a big question: Who has the power to silence verified accounts without an accountable mechanism?

​Bad Precedent for Legal Certainty
The unilateral deactivation of a blue-checked account—which de jure has stricter procedural protections—is a form of disregard for the principle of due process of law. We consider this action a bad precedent that threatens freedom of expression and undermines legal certainty in cyberspace.

We are witnessing a regression in civility in the digital space," said Ahmad Dhani.

"We urge open clarification—both from Instagram and the relevant authorities—to uncover the masterminds behind this intervention.
