Kapanlagi.com - Singer and songwriter Rayen Pono visited the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Friday (29/12) afternoon. His visit was to report a suspected fraud in the form of a fake performance order experienced by his manager.

A few days ago, Rayen was offered a gig by an individual claiming to be from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR). After being processed by his manager, it was discovered that the transfer evidence was fake.

"The chronology is that I received a job offer to perform on December 27, claiming to be from the Ministry of PUPR. After that, there was a transfer process between my manager and their party," said Rayen after making the report.

1. Return Money to Scammer

After the price agreement, the individual claimed to have transferred an excessive amount of money to manager Rayen Pono. Therefore, the individual requested the excess amount of nearly Rp 20 million to be returned. After the transfer, the manager realized that he had become a victim of fraud.

"During the transfer process, the amount was not correct, so my manager had to return it to this scammer. He requested an additional Rp 19.7 million. After the transfer, the perpetrator immediately called, then turned off the phone, and called again. This made my manager unable to check the proof of the transfer. Only then did he realize that he had been deceived," Rayen continued.

2. Solid Reasons for Making a Police Report

Rayen Pono shared what his manager experienced on social media. There were many responses from people who had experienced similar situations. This factor made Rayen determined to bring this case to the police under Article 378 of the Criminal Code.

"What made me take legal action is that after sharing this on social media, many friends responded who had experienced the same thing. So I thought I should make a report to represent others," explained Rayen.
