Ruben Onsu Receives Support of Rp3.5 Billion, Jhon LBF Asks to Be More Careful

Entrepreneur Jhon LBF helped pay off funds amounting to Rp3.5 billion related to the legal case that previously ensnared his friend, Ruben Onsu. He hopes similar issues do not recur in future business dealings.

"I hope Ruben can be more careful going forward, can be more focused, productive, eh, work, create, because there are responsibilities- responsibilities that must be fulfilled, there are children to be supported," said Jhon LBF when met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on Monday (31/8/2026).

1. Jhon Does Not Expect Any Return from Ruben Onsu

Jhon emphasized that he does not expect any return from Ruben for the funds he has provided. According to him, the meeting in this difficult situation is a form of God's intervention.

"And, I must say here, Ruben does not need to express gratitude to me because, eh, my heart was also moved by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. So Ruben should thank Allah," said Jhon LBF.

He stated that gratitude should be directed to Allah, while he is merely a conduit moved by his heart to help.

2. Appreciation for the Reporting Party of Ruben Onsu

Jhon mentioned that the reconciliation process was achieved thanks to the cooperation and flexibility in communication from the legal teams of both parties. He appreciates the cooperative attitude of Achmad Ramzy, the lawyer for the reporting party.

"Of course, I express my highest respect for Bang Ramzy. This all happened not only because we wanted it, but the reporting party also made an extraordinary effort from Mr. Ramzy," explained Jhon LBF.

According to Jhon, Ramzy played an important role in convincing his client to withdraw the report, thus allowing for a peaceful resolution.

3. Adhering to Legal Mechanisms

Jhon LBF reminded that as citizens living in a legal state, all processes must be followed according to the mechanism. The suspect status that Ruben Onsu once held, according to him, is a consequence of the reports received and needs to be resolved legally.

"His suspect status can also, God willing, be, eh, dropped, right? More or less the cessation of the investigation," concluded Jhon LBF.

He added that this status can end through a cessation of the investigation according to the applicable regulations.
