Ruben Onsu Resolves Case, Report Withdrawn After Rp3.5 Billion Returned

The lawyer of the complainant, Achmad Ramzy, shared the latest news regarding the case involving presenter Ruben Onsu. He confirmed that the police report regarding the alleged investment fraud would be withdrawn on the same day, after Ruben's side returned the amount of Rp3.5 billion in full with the help of Jhon LBF.

Ramzy mentioned this while being met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on Monday (31/8/2026). "And today I, along with the complainant, will also go to the South Jakarta Police Station, which happens to be right in front of us, to withdraw the police report that we have made. That's how it is," said Achmad Ramzy.

1. From the Beginning, the Reporter Did Not Want to Imprison Ruben Onsu

Ramzy emphasized that from the beginning, the reporting party did not have the intention to deliberately imprison Ruben Onsu. This stance has been communicated since the report was made.

According to him, the main focus of the client is only to demand rights over the investment funds that have not been returned during the business cooperation period. With the return of the funds that have been made, the main case is considered resolved.

"And to the media friends, thank you also for giving us, uh, the opportunity to convey this good news so that it does not become a wild ball, so that it is no longer driven by opinions because this matter is finished," said Achmad Ramzy.

2. Mediation Agreed, Process Smooth

The mediation process went smoothly thanks to the communication established between the legal teams of both parties. Ramzy appreciated the good faith from Ruben Onsu as well as the support from the legal team of Jhon LBF Law Firm in seeking a peaceful solution.

"Yes, thank God today, with the cooperation from Jon LBF Law Firm, my colleague Maci Ahmad as well, we were able to communicate well and thank God today there was reconciliation, peace which is indeed what we hoped for from the beginning," Ramzy said again.

After the withdrawal of the report, it is hoped that the suspect status that Ruben Onsu once held can soon be revoked. The police will process the termination of the investigation or SP3, referring to the peace agreement that has been signed.

"The termination of the investigation, yes, Mr. Lawyer. That's from me. Thank you, friends," concluded Jhon LBF, adding to Ramzy's explanation.
