Kapanlagi.com - Ruben Onsu officially filed a child custody lawsuit against his ex-wife, Sarwendah, at the South Jakarta District Court. One of the materials presented in the lawsuit relates to the environment in which the children are situated.
Ruben's legal counsel, Minola Sebayang, explained that they highlighted the children's activities, which are alleged to often involve live TikTok broadcasts at night. According to him, this constitutes one of the grounds presented in the custody lawsuit.
"In our lawsuit, we also addressed the issue that the children are suspected to be in an unsafe environment," said Minola Sebayang during a virtual interview on Friday (3/7/2026).
"There are allegations of child exploitation, with children being involved in live TikTok broadcasts at night, as well as other matters that should not be experienced by minors. That is what forms the basis of our lawsuit," he added.

Minola stated that the involvement of children in social media activities at night has become a concern for his party. Therefore, Ruben chose to take legal action to gain certainty regarding child custody rights.
On the other hand, Minola also responded to the emergence of a boycott action from some netizens against Sarwendah. According to him, this is a response from the public that is beyond Ruben's control.
"What it means is this, if there is a boycott, it is a consequence of what he has done or what he has said that may offend the sense of justice or perhaps make the netizens unsympathetic," said Minola.
However, he emphasized that the lawsuit filed by Ruben is not related to public responses on social media. The main focus of the lawsuit remains on the best interests of the child.
"That is a free choice of the public to boycott S. But what we are discussing in our lawsuit is only matters related to the child's interests," he concluded.
