Sarwendah Leaves the Cilandak House, Ruben Onsu's Lawyer Speaks Out

Amid the ongoing divorce process with Ruben Onsu, questions about who owns the Cilandak house have surfaced on social media and in podcast discussions.

In response, Ruben Onsu's lawyer, Minola Sebayang, provided clarification when met in the Kuningan area of South Jakarta on Monday (20/7/2026).

"I need to clarify so that everything is clear. The Cilandak house has a history as an old house that was purchased outright by Ruben. The certificate is also already in the name of Ruben Onsu," said Minola.

He believes that there is a lot of information circulating that does not align with the data held by his side, thus clarification is necessary so that the context of the origin and ownership status of the house can be fully understood.

1. Status of the Cilandak House Certificate Ruben Onsu

Minola explained that the house in Cilandak was originally an old house purchased by Ruben Onsu using personal funds. The purchase transaction, according to him, was made in full without installments.

After the sale and purchase process was completed, the ownership certificate of the house was issued in the name of Ruben Onsu. This clarification was made to respond to the speculation that has developed regarding the legitimate owner of the residence.

This statement serves as the basis for Ruben's claims regarding the legal status of the house, considering that the circulating issues often link it to the dynamics of the household that is currently being tested in court.

2. Renovation at Sarwendah's Request and Loan Scheme

After officially becoming Ruben's property, the Cilandak house underwent a major renovation. Minola stated that the plan for changes began with Sarwendah's desire for the house to be adjusted to the family's needs.

"Due to Sarwendah's desire for the house to be renovated, Ruben used the house certificate as collateral to the bank to obtain a renovation loan. Ruben received a loan of Rp10.1 billion for contractor and renovation costs," said Minola.

In the initial stages, Ruben was involved in discussions with the contractor. However, as his busy schedule in the entertainment world continued, further communication regarding the work was more often handled by Sarwendah.

According to Minola, the intensity of Sarwendah's coordination with the contractor occurred during the renovation process, while Ruben remained involved in discussions during the early phases of the project.

3. Household Contents: Endorsements and Purchases During Marriage

In addition to the issue of ownership, Minola also responded to the assumption that most of the household contents came from Sarwendah. He denied the claim and explained the origins of the furniture and equipment within it.

The majority of the furniture is said to have come from endorsement collaborations that Ruben Onsu received while living with Sarwendah. There is also a small portion that came from Sarwendah's endorsements or cash purchases, which according to Minola were made in the context of the household.

"Most of the household contents are the result of Ruben's endorsements, including the bed that was once posted. There is indeed a small portion from Sarwendah's endorsements or paid in cash, but because at that time they were still in a marriage bond, of course, they used money earned together or Ruben's money as well," he said.

4. The Legal Process is Ongoing at the South Jakarta District Court

Minola's explanation was delivered amid the custody trial between Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah at the South Jakarta District Court. This case has become one of the main agendas currently underway.

In addition, both parties are also scheduled to undergo mediation on July 22, 2026. This agenda is part of the stages of case resolution regulated by the court.
