Sherina Munaf Files for Divorce from Baskara Mahendra Without Property Claims

“It's just a divorce petition, purely a divorce petition,” said the Public Relations of the South Jakarta Religious Court, Suryana, when met at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Friday (17/1/2025).

According to Suryana, there is no accumulation of lawsuits in this case. The lawsuit only contains a request for divorce without any additional claims.

“So there is no accumulation of lawsuits with others, just divorce. If we look briefly at the lawsuit, it is only for divorce,” Suryana stated.

The reason behind Sherina's divorce lawsuit is still not known for certain. Suryana emphasized that the reason is confidential and will only be discussed in a closed trial.

“The reason cannot be mentioned here yet, because it needs to be proven first. So this is confidential, the trial is closed to the public, and it is part of the main case,” he explained.

In addition, Suryana revealed that Sherina and Baskara are now living separately. Sherina resides in Kebayoran Lama, while Baskara lives in Serpong, Tangerang.

“Their addresses are already separated, the plaintiff is residing in Kebayoran Lama, while the defendant's address is in Serpong, Tangerang,” he said.

This divorce lawsuit is officially registered at the South Jakarta Religious Court on January 16, 2025. Suryana explained that the lawsuit letter was made on January 14, 2025, before it was registered two days later.

“It has been entered into the South Jakarta Religious Court, registered on January 16, 2025. So two days ago, and the trial schedule has been set,” he said.

The first trial for the divorce of Sherina and Baskara is scheduled for Thursday, January 30, 2025. This case is registered under number 325/PDT.G/2025/PA South Jakarta.

Sherina's decision not to sue for joint property has caused various speculations among the public. However, the official reason will only be revealed during the trial process.

“If in the case information system it is already available. So when the case is entered, it shows who the panel of judges is and the trial date has been set. God willing, the first trial will be on Thursday, January 30,” Suryana concluded.
