According to an official release from Kareena and Saif's team, the actor sustained injuries to his hand from a knife slash by the robbers. Due to the injuries, Saif was rushed to the hospital around 2:30 AM local time on Thursday (16/1).

Ibrahim Ali Khan took Saif to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where doctors immediately provided treatment. According to the medical team at Lilavati Hospital, Saif suffered 6 stab wounds and needed to undergo surgery.

"Saif has 6 stab wounds, 2 of which are quite deep. One of them is even very close to his spine. He is currently undergoing surgery," said Dr. Uttamani, who is handling Saif Ali Khan's condition.

Only Saif was injured in this incident, while Kareena Kapoor, Taimur Ali Khan, Jeh Ali Khan, and other household staff are safe. Saif is currently being treated in the hospital while the police conduct a thorough investigation into this case.
