This is the Reason the Prosecutor Rejects Vicky Prasetyo's Exception Application

Kapanlagi.com - The South Jakarta District Court yesterday held a trial on the alleged online defamation case, with defendant Vicky Prasetyo. The trial, held at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (5/8), was for the Prosecutor's response to Vicky's exception.

"The South Jakarta District Attorney's Office responds to the objection or exception from the defendant's legal counsel, Vicky Prasetyo bin Hermanto, through Ramdan Alamsyah, who is charged under Article 45 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 36 in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph (3) of the ITE Law, as well as Article 311 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code and Article 335 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in criminal cases," said the Prosecutor during the trial.

1. Not Based on Law

In conclusion, the prosecutor stated that they are still standing by the charges read in the initial hearing of Vicky Prasetyo on July 22, 2020. For the prosecutor, all the reasons for the defendant's legal advisor's exception are not based on law, therefore they should be set aside.

"Therefore, we, the public prosecutor in this case, request, first, to reject the objection note of the defendant's exception, Vicky Prasetyo bin Hermanto, through his legal advisor, Ramdan Alamsyah and partner, in its entirety. Second, continue the examination of the defendant, Vicky Prasetyo bin Hermanto, accompanied by his legal advisor, to the examination of the substance of the case," he said.

2. Session for Verdict Agenda

In addition, the prosecutor will call witnesses in the next trial, if the judge rejects Vicky Prasetyo's exception. Meanwhile, the judge will proceed with the trial with a interim verdict agenda on August 12, 2020.

Previously reported, Angel Lelga reported Vicky Prasetyo to the Jakarta Metro Police, on Wednesday (12/21/2018), for the raid incident carried out by her husband at her residence two years ago. In that incident, Vicky Prasetyo raided Angel Lelga's residence, considering that Angel was still his wife at the time, allegedly committing adultery with a man named Fiki Alman.
