Umrah Together with Slank, Kaka is Considering Shaving His Head: If Bald, That's Fine Too

Kapanlagi.com - The band Slank will experience a special moment in November 2025 by holding a concert in Jeddah while also performing Umrah. This program is titled "Umrah Together with Slank and People's Fest" and will take place on November 13.

Interestingly, all five Slank members will depart in full formation, including Abdee Negara who had been absent from various activities due to health issues. This agenda has reportedly been planned for a long time but can only be realized this year.

"We have each performed Umrah before, even Ivan has performed Hajj, Abdee has never, and we really want to perform Umrah together with Slank, since before the pandemic, we never had the chance, so this is the first time, we trust Makadinah Tour," said Bimbim at Potlot, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, Thursday (24/4/2025).

For the members, this pilgrimage trip is a long-held dream that is finally coming true. Ridho, the guitarist, even mentioned that this intention has existed for several years.

"Our dream is coming true, we have indeed had the intention for several years to perform Umrah together. Alhamdulillah, in 2025 this is really happening, inshaAllah it will go smoothly until November. We are all healthy. In 2025, we will perform Umrah together again in two or three years, inshaAllah we will perform Hajj together," said Ridho.

1. More Than Just a Regular Tour

Bimbim revealed that this journey is more than just a regular concert tour. He referred to this activity as a way to maintain good relationships with fellow humans while also strengthening the relationship with the Creator. "The preparation is for repentance prayer," said Bimbim.

In addition to spiritual readiness, Ridho also emphasized the importance of physical preparation ahead of the departure. According to him, performing Umrah requires physical strength to be carried out smoothly and sincerely.

"Then it’s more about the physical aspect, because this is a physical worship, so that’s why we pray to be granted health until November," Ridho continued.

2. Kaka to Shave His Head?

This time, Kaka is also considering shaving his head as part of the worship practice. He reminisced about his previous experience of only cutting a portion of his hair.

"Last time during Umrah, I just cut a little, I didn’t shave it all off, but if I do shave it, that’s fine too," said Kaka.

The program "Umrah with Slank and People’s Festival" will take place in collaboration with Makadinah Tour. In this program, participants will perform Umrah while also witnessing a Slank concert planned to be held at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Jeddah.

For Slank, this moment is not just an opportunity to perform on stage, but also a space to strengthen spiritual values amidst the busy entertainment industry. The presence of Slankers in a religious atmosphere also adds a new dimension to the journey of the band, which has been established since 1983.
