"The point is not that. The criminal act is not about being pregnant, but they admit they didn't have intimate relations? That's the issue. Once they admit, that's it, that's a crime in itself," he explained.

Regarding the length of the sentence, Hotman Paris considers the 9-year verdict to be a reasonable figure and in line with previous rulings for similar cases.
