Visiting the Funeral Home, Rano Karno Remembers Shooting Days with Marissa Haque

Kapanlagi.com - Senior actor Rano Karno also visited the funeral home of Marissa Haque on Wednesday (10/2/2024). Rano reminisced about the shooting days with Marissa decades ago. One moment he recalled was when they collaborated on the film KEMBANG SEMUSIM, Marissa Haque's debut film in the Indonesian film industry.

"I have known Mbak Ica since she was young and unmarried, and her first film, Marissa Haque's, was with me titled Kembang Semusim," said Rano Karno.

Although he has known Marissa for a long time, Rano admitted that they rarely met in recent years. The actor from Si Doel Anak Sekolahan stated that the last time they met was about 15 years ago, as Marissa has focused more on the education field rather than the entertainment industry.

"Honestly, I haven't seen her for a long time, maybe more than 15 years; she has been more in the education field, not in the arts, although occasionally she acts," said Rano.

Rano Karno himself did not explain further about the cause of Marissa Haque's death. However, representing the Indonesian film industry, Rano conveyed prayers and best wishes for Marissa's departure.

"I do not want to ask more, as the family is in mourning. To all the film community who have sent prayers, may she have a good ending," he said.

Previously, Marissa Haque was declared dead on Wednesday early morning at 00:43 WIB at Premiere Bintaro Hospital. Marissa was found unresponsive in her bedroom before being declared dead by the hospital staff.
