Vitalia Sesha Officially Sentenced to 1 Year 8 Months in Prison for Drug Case

Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the defendant Vitalia Sesha apparently has been decided by the Panel of Judges of the West Jakarta District Court, in June 2020. The sexy model who was involved in a case of drug possession and abuse was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison.

In addition, Vitalia also received a fine of Rp 50 million or an alternative punishment of 2 months in prison. This was revealed by the Spokesperson of the West Jakarta District Court, Eko Aryanto.

"The case of Vitalia Sesha has been decided by the judge. Vitalia was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison," said Eko Aryanto when met in his office on Thursday (15/10/2020).

There are several considerations taken by the judges concerning Vitalia's punishment. One of the aggravating factors is that she did not support the government's program in eradicating drugs. However, there are also other factors that mitigate her sentence.

"The judge's verdict takes into account both aggravating and mitigating factors. The mitigating factor is that she is cooperative, polite, and admits her wrongdoing," he said.

2. Not Rehabilitated

Most artists eventually undergo rehabilitation after being involved in drug cases. However, it seems that this does not apply to Vitalia due to several considerations.

"Her legal verdict is imprisonment, not rehabilitation, and both the prosecutor and the defendant accept the judge's decision," said Eko Aryanto.

Previously reported, Vitalia Sesha and her boyfriend, AW, were arrested at The Mansion Apartments, Pademangan, North Jakarta, on Monday (24/2/2020) at 17.00 WIB, along with their distributor with the initials RH.

In the arrest, the police confiscated evidence from Vitalia Sesha and her boyfriend, AW, including 10 ecstasy pills, 34 Happy Five psychotropic pills, and 0.63 grams of crystal meth.
