Risa Amel Rebranding to RISSA, Making Waves with Single 'Cadangan'
Risa Amel is now known as RISSA, ready to shake up the music scene with the single 'Cadangan'.
The legendary dangdut singer Cici Faramida officially makes a comeback by re-releasing one of her signature songs titled "Don't Wait Too Long". This step was taken after the song, which was popular in the 90s, went viral again on various social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram through various remix versions and dance challenges.
"Alhamdulillah.. Cici feels very happy and is very grateful that the song 'Don't Wait Too Long' can continue to resonate until now and is very well received by everyone. Re-releasing this song in 2026 is truly amazing. A huge thank you to Mrs. Indrawati Widjaja (Ibu Acin) and the Musica family for this opportunity. Cici can't wait to see the results later," said Cici Faramida, Monday (12/6/2026).

The decision to re-release this song is closely related to the digital phenomenon that has made old music catalogs popular again across generations. This song, which has simple and catchy lyrics, has managed to attract the attention of today's social media users,
from nostalgic content to Gen Z who enjoy energetic rhythms.
"I never expected that the song 'Jangan Tunggu Lama-Lama' could go viral and boom again. I see so many people performing this song in various versions, genres, and even different languages. I'm so proud. Especially since the song also has a movement that has become a trademark that can be followed by everyone from Gen Z kids to adults. It feels connected; the song is easy to listen to and can be sung by anyone, and the dance can also be followed," said
Cici.

Interestingly, the production of this latest version has become a very emotional creative reunion. Cici Faramida is collaborating once again with renowned director Rizal Mantovani and choreographer Ari Tulang. This collaboration is their first after 27 years since the success of the phenomenal music video "Wulan Merindu".
"Basically, we are nostalgic again.. like a reunion, everyone is still as close as before," she expressed.

There are significant differences between the original version from 1995 and this latest version. While the original song was synonymous with classic dangdut vibes accompanied by flute and drums, the 2026 version comes with a touch of HipDut (Hip-hop Dangdut) that is much more modern and playful.

"The song 'Don't Wait Too Long' was released back in 1995 from Cici's fourth album. The song was performed as a duet with Farid, and the music is truly pure original or classic dangdut, featuring the sound of the flute and drums, very different from what Cici performs now," she said.

"The current version is performed solo, with a different color and musical nuance, very modern and energetic HipDut, guaranteed to make listeners want to dance. Also, there are definitely differences in the vocal nuances between the past and now. Cici usually adjusts her performance to fit the type of music," she added.

Through a more cinematic and elegant visual approach, this latest music video is expected to attract the attention of today's younger generation. Cici Faramida proves that 90s dangdut music remains very relevant and can transcend generations thanks to the power of social media algorithms.

The remake project "Don't Wait Too Long (2026)" is not just about reintroducing old songs, but also showing how old music catalogs get a "second life". With new arrangements while maintaining its original character, Cici Faramida is ready to shake up the dangdut music stage in the country.
