The names Slamet Rahardjo and Widyawati have long been an important part of the journey of Indonesian cinema. Now, these two senior actors are reunited in the latest romantic comedy film titled CINTA LAMA BABAK KEDUA (CLBK), which is scheduled to premiere in theaters starting July 2, 2026.
Interestingly, this film produced by MIR Productions does not merely present a love story in old age. The character Abi, played by Slamet Rahardjo, and Sita, portrayed by Widyawati, are described as having a past that is not yet truly finished. Their reunion actually triggers conflicts that impact the next generation.
In the film, Abi's granddaughter named Ambar, played by Sintya Marisca, plans to marry Raka, Sita's grandson, portrayed by Iskak Khivano. However, this happy plan suddenly shakes when Sita discovers the identity of her future grandchild's grandfather.
The past conflict that has been buried for decades finally resurfaces. The relationship that once faltered between Abi and Sita complicates the family dynamics. It not only involves the two main characters but also drags their children and grandchildren into the whirlpool of unresolved issues.
This film, directed by Ivander Tedjasukmana, is also supported by several names such as Sarah Sechan, Kiki Narendra, Iyang Dharmawan, Febry Khey, Annisa Kaila, Yusuf Mahardhika, and Gisellma Firmansyah, who portray young Abi and young Sita.
