Comeback to Acting After Fifteen Years, Risty Tagor Feels Like Starting Over - Daring Screen Test Despite Being Sick

Kapanlagi.com - Risty Tagor is involved in a comedy-drama film titled HOME SWEET LOAN, which is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name. Interestingly, this film marks Risty's return to the big screen after fifteen years.

The mother of two confessed she couldn't believe she was given the chance to act in films again. Even when asked to undergo a screen test, she still showed up despite being sick.

"I got the opportunity to return after fifteen years. When asked for a screen test, it wasn't guaranteed I would be accepted, but I still came even though I was sick. The management team even sent me off because they knew I was unwell," said Risty when met in the Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (4/9).

1. Starting Over

Returning to acting in films after fifteen years has been a challenge for Risty Tagor. It feels like being back at square one because being involved in film production is different from soap operas.

"For me, taking a fifteen-year break feels like starting over. Acting in films is different from soap operas, even though both come with responsibilities, the treatment is different," said Risty.

2. Wanting to Create Again

In her comeback effort to the film industry, Risty Tagor has landed a role in a comedy-drama film. She is grateful that her hijab does not limit her acting to just religious genres.

"I thought after wearing the hijab for fifteen years, I wouldn’t be able to act in regular films, only religious ones. But it turns out that’s not the case. If asked if I want to act in films again, InsyaAllah I am back now and want to create again," Risty concluded.
