If They Act in Separate Films, Dinda Hauw and Rey Mbayang Have Unwritten Rules

Rey Mbayang and Dinda Hauw are ready to greet their fans with a different performance. For the first time, they will act together in a horror film titled RITUAL GAIB: NYAI RANDASURA, directed by Stuart Simpson.

Although they often appear together, Dinda Hauw and Rey Mbayang do not rule out the possibility of taking acting projects separately. However, as a husband-and-wife couple both working in the entertainment industry, they admit to having agreements and boundaries that must be maintained when not acting alongside each other.

Rey Mbayang revealed that these rules are not one-sided rules imposed by Dinda on him or vice versa. The rules are the result of a mutual agreement that they uphold to maintain harmony in their household and professionalism.

"There is, for sure. It's not me to Dinda, or Dinda to me. It's more about the rules we set for ourselves, I guess," said Rey Mbayang when met in Kemang some time ago.

Rey emphasized that the boundaries arise from each individual's self-awareness, not from pressure from their partner. This is done to avoid the impression that their careers are constrained by one another.

"Yes, it should be more. So, it's not like, you can't do anything because this person says this, or that person says that. No, it's more about ourselves," he added.

Dinda Hauw then detailed the boundaries they agreed upon. One of them is in choosing the type of scenes. Considering her current status of wearing a hijab and being a mother, Dinda is very selective in accepting roles, especially those involving physical scenes with co-stars.

"Maybe if it’s just light touches like holding hands, it might still be considered safe, right? Because in our daily lives, we still meet with the opposite sex, even if it’s just the two of us," Dinda explained.

However, for more intimate scenes like kissing, Dinda firmly rejects it. For her, this boundary is not only to protect her partner's feelings but, more importantly, to maintain their image in the eyes of their future children.

"It's more about the fact that the children will continue to grow and eventually understand how their mother works and what her workplace is like. So we are more focused on protecting the children," Dinda concluded.
