Kapanlagi.com - One of the original Indonesian superhero films, SATRIA DEWA GATOTKACA will soon be shown on the big screen, precisely on Thursday (9/6). Previously, the film directed by Hanung Bramantyo had undergone its first screening on Monday (6/6) at the Epicentrum XXI Studio, Kuningan, Jakarta.

Among the series of invited guests present, there was a familiar figure; Erick Thohir. The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises stated that the increasing number of national films, especially those that tell stories about Indonesian culture, should receive support from the public. Appreciation and support from film lovers who not only enjoy the storyline of the film, but also like the songs or soundtrack of the film, the derivative of the film's story, and merchandise, will further enliven pop culture in the homeland.

Erick watched the original Indonesian superhero film with the director, Hanung Bramantyo, and several actors such as Ricky Nazar, Omar Daniel, Yayan Ruhiyan, and veteran actress, Yatti Surachman. That night, Erick was also accompanied by Eko Patrio, Pasha Ungu, and Dessy Ratnasari.

"We must support the national film industry that has tremendous potential. Not only from a good film story, but the public can also enjoy the songs, derivative stories, and merchandise. This is a multiplatform storytelling that will never end. We must continue to stimulate public appreciation so that through the entertainment industry, including national films, we can become a pop culture country," said Erick Thohir.

He added that if Korea or other countries are able to become pop culture countries by successfully elevating their local entertainment industry to the international stage, then Indonesia can also do it. Moreover, Indonesia already has its own market with a population of 275 million.

"State-owned enterprises are ready to provide support. We have PFN (National Film Production) or Telkom and Telkomsel as aggregators to support local content to continue to develop. We have a large market and if it explodes domestically, it will have an impact on the whole world. The key is to be creative," he emphasized.

The concept of multiplatform storytelling is continuously pushed to develop the national film industry so that a film is not only liked from the perspective of entertainment alone. Previously, the film KADET 1957 was also produced with the same concept. Its story is integrated with other creative ideas so that from the film emerged fashion trends, other creative products that also advance local SMEs, and also a soundtrack titled Bakti.
