Joys and Sorrows of the 'ASIH 2' Cast During Filming in the Pandemic Era

Kapanlagi.com - Throughout 2020, starting from around March, cinemas across Indonesia had to stop operating due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Various screenings of feature films had to be postponed.

Currently, the pandemic is still ongoing, but MD Pictures made a breakthrough by bringing the horror film ASIH 2 back to cinemas, for the first time since the pandemic. Shareefa Daanish hopes that after this, film lovers will no longer be afraid to watch movies in cinemas, but of course, still adhere to the established protocols.

"In my opinion, I hope that this can be the first film, the opening, so that in the future, many people will dare to go to the cinema, but still comply with health protocols. It can be said as the new normal for going to the cinema," said Shareefa, who plays Asih, in a conversation with KapanLagi.com.

1. Ario Bayu's Expectations Regarding the Film 'ASIH 2'

Ario Bayu, who was also present, agreed with Shareefa's statement. Although he doesn't have high expectations, he remains positive that ASIH 2 will attract many viewers who have been longing to return to the cinema.

"From our perspective, we're happy if after this pandemic, it becomes the first Indonesian film to be shown in cinemas. It's pretty exciting, but it's hard to say what the expectations are. But we always have to stay positive," Ario added.

2. Differences in Shooting During the Pandemic

Meanwhile, Marsha Timothy explained the differences she felt when shooting during the pandemic. Of course, there are many adjustments that need to be made during the production process for everyone's safety.

"Well, maybe what we lost before this pandemic was that we could eat together, buffet-style. But now we can't do that anymore. It seems like the standard number of staff for this production hasn't been reduced, but during the shooting, I saw that everyone was very compliant, they never took off their masks. Because as actors, we have to take off our masks, we can't wear them all the time," Marsha concluded.
