Reunion with Vino G Bastian through 'SABAR INI UJIAN', Luna Maya remembers the moment of being a newcomer in the industry

Kapanlagi.com - Luna Maya is involved in a comedy drama titled SABAR INI UJIAN. The film, directed by Anggy Umbara, tells the story of a man named Sabar (played by Vino G Bastian) who is left by his ex-girlfriend to get married.

Seeing the theme, and connecting it with her own love story, Luna said that there is indeed a similarity. But it's normal because being left by an ex-girlfriend to get married is a story that many people have experienced.

"You could say it's relatable, because anyone who watches it will go through a phase like that in their life. Sometimes we think 'Ah, I want this', but actually that's not what we need. So to accept 'Oh, it turns out it's not this', there is another process that makes us think deeper to find the answer to what we really need," said Luna in a press conference at MD Place, Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Monday (24/8/2020).

1. Reunion Project

The movie PATIENCE IS A TEST also becomes a reunion event for Luna Maya and Vino G Bastian. Because this is their first film project together after working together 12 years ago in IN THE NAME OF LOVE.

"The last time we acted together was a long time ago, and I'm happy that there was no awkwardness at all because we already knew each other. You could even say that we both started our careers around the same time," said the woman whose birth name is Luna Maya Sugeng.

2. Meeting When Still Newcomers

Furthermore, Luna Maya shared the first time she met Vino G Bastian. At that time, they did a photoshoot for a magazine when they were still newcomers in the industry.

"I met him in 1999, or maybe 2000, back when we were both models and we appeared on the magazine cover together. After that, we often met in music videos, the movie 30 DAYS TO FIND LOVE, the movie MESSAGE FROM HEAVEN, another music video. We hadn't seen each other for a long time and then we met again here. He has changed, he has become more mature and solid as an actor," Luna recalled with a smile.
