Starting from Youtube Content, the Film 'BUCIN' Directed by Chandra Liow Finally Adapted to the Big Screen

Kapanlagi.com - Rapi Films production house finally released the poster and trailer for the latest film titled BUCIN. The comedy drama film turned out to be adapted from the Youtube content Skinnyindonesia24 which is led by the siblings Andovi Da Lopez and Jovial Da Lopez.

This was confirmed by Andovi Da Lopez during the press conference for the launch of the film Bucin at CGV FC Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon (25/2). According to him, the story in this film is a form of creativity and restlessness of his brother, Jovial Da Lopez, as the scriptwriter.

"Yes, so this is indeed from the Skinny content on July 7, 2015. The title is BUCIN, love slave. It can be with the genius and restlessness of my brother as a scriptwriter, and this film will not only be seen by YouTube viewers but also by the general public, that's why it becomes a film," explained Andovi.

1. Film Synopsis BUCIN

The film BUCIN tells the story of four friends, Andovi da Lopez, Chandra Liow, Tommy Limm, and Jovial da Lopez, who join the Anti Bucin class (Anti Love Slaves) to be able to have mature relationships with their respective partners. Not only that, this film also marks Chandra Liow's debut as a director.

2. Changing Audience Expectations

Chandra Liow said he was challenged to change people's perception of the word 'bucin' (love slave) in the film. Chandra also stated that the audience's expectations will be different after watching this film.

"This is really interesting. Everyone knows that bucin is expected to be comedy and love, that's the challenge. After watching this film, I guarantee that people's expectations will be different from what they imagined about BUCIN," said Chandra Liow.

3. Release in March

This film is scheduled to be released on March 26, 2020. This film also stars Susan Sameh, Karina Salim, Widika Sidmore, and Kezia Aletheia. In addition, there is also a special appearance by Gading Marten and Deddy Corbuzier.
