The production team even had to take several significant steps to present scenes that look realistic on screen. One of the most attention-grabbing processes was the filming of a motorcycle racing scene that took place in the Flyover area of Kota Kasablanka, South Jakarta.

To achieve the best results while ensuring safety, the production filmed from night until dawn. This step was also taken to allow community activities to continue normally without being disturbed by the filming process.

However, the challenges did not stop there. During the production process, the team was briefly panicked when the main drone camera used for filming suddenly went missing during the shoot.

1. The Struggle of the Characters in the Samuel Series

In addition to technical challenges, the actors also face their own struggles in delving into their characters. Azela Putri, who plays Ilona, along with Vincent Leenders and Reza A. Pahlevi, who portray Samuel's rivals, had to learn new skills for the sake of the story.

Interestingly, none of these three actors had ever ridden a motorcycle before. They underwent intensive training from scratch to convincingly portray the rivalry between motorcycle gangs in front of the camera.

Visual details are also an important focus in this series. The school location, which appears spacious and grand, is actually a combination of two different places that were merged through editing.

Meanwhile, the identity of each group is reinforced through specially designed costumes. The jackets worn by the characters are inspired by a blend of military style and Japanese American Casual, creating a look that is different from typical motorcycle gangs.

3. Chemistry of Fadi and Saskia

The strong chemistry between Fadi Alaydrus and Saskia Chadwick is also one of the attractions of SAMUEL. It is not without reason, as this project marks their third collaboration, allowing them to have developed a natural closeness for a long time.

The togetherness of the cast does not end when the cameras stop rolling. Even after filming wraps up, they often spend time together playing padel, visiting amusement parks, and watching movies, while the entire team also has to struggle to complete the last day of shooting, which was drenched in heavy rain until the morning.
