And even though it has not been released yet, believe it or not, seats for KKN DI DESA PENARI, especially for the April 30, 2022 screening, are already selling out in various cities. The news was conveyed by the director, Awi Suryadi, through a tweet on his official Twitter account.
"Jogja, Solo, Pekalongan, Semarang are ready to meet Badarawuhi! @bicaraboxoffice @txtanakbioskop @cinema21 @SimpleM81378523 @KKNMovie," Awi wrote in his post while uploading a photo as proof that the seats are almost full.
The public hype for the movie KKN DI DESA PENARI is not without reason. A little flashback, this story initially went viral on Twitter, precisely in 2019 after it was written by Simple Man. After that, the story was adapted into a book with the same title which also sold like hotcakes.
From there, MD Pictures took the initiative to buy the rights to screen KKN DI DESA PENARI. It didn't take long, the open casting process to filming was rushed in the same year and the movie (originally) was scheduled to be released on March 19, 2020. Unfortunately, we all know that 2020 was the year of the Covid-19 pandemic which forced all activities to be postponed.
As a result, the movie KKN DI DESA PENARI could only be released in 2022, precisely on April 30, 2022. So yeah, the 2-year wait for movie lovers and fans of the KKN DI DESA PENARI story is surely unstoppable.

As we know, in May 2022, a number of top films from both domestic and foreign countries will also be released in theaters, such as DOCTOR STRANGE: MULTIVERSE. Responding to this, Manoj Punjabi, as the producer of KKN DI DESA PENARI, is confident that his film will be able to compete and have its own market.
"I'm sure it can compete, not to be arrogant, but I'm really sure that this film (KKN DI DESA PENARI) is good and big. How big? I don't want to say. And against DOCTOR STRANGE? I'm not afraid, the market is different. Even though people have watched DOCTOR STRANGE, they will also want to watch KKN DI DESA PENARI," said Manoj Punjabi in an exclusive interview with KapanLagi.com.
