Calvin Jeremy Shares His Mystical Experience While Filming 'KKN DI DESA PENARI', See Adinda Thomas Mysteriously Faint

Kapanlagi.com - As the release date of the movie KKN DI DESA PENARI on April 30, 2022 approaches, the public hype for the film is increasing. It's understandable, as fans have been eagerly waiting for this movie to be released, especially since its release date was delayed for 2 years.

Calvin Jeremy, one of the cast members of KKN DI DESA PENARI, couldn't hide his excitement. He revealed this in a recent interview with KapanLagi.com.

"Waiting for 2 years, we've been through a lot. Even from the question, 'When will it be released?', it was delayed and we didn't know when it would be released. Then it was supposed to be released, but it was delayed again. So if you ask me if I'm excited or not, I'm definitely more excited," said Calvin.

And besides that, Calvin who will play as Anton also shared his shooting experience around the end of 2019. One of the things he remembers the most is the mystical experience he went through.

"There was definitely something mystical. This shooting was in the forest, so it's not taboo if you feel like someone is watching you. There were obstacles, like sudden rain, a sling falling. It made it 'noisy'. But as actors, we have to be aware that we are filming in such a place, horror, so we have to face things like that," recalled Calvin.

2. Adinda Thomas Suddenly Fainted

On one occasion, Calvin also shared the experience of his fellow cast member, Adinda Thomas, who played as Widya. According to him, there was one moment that was quite tense and surprising during the shooting process.

"Then there's also Adinda Thomas, who played Widya at one of the locations, at the waterfall, she suddenly fainted. She felt like someone possessed her, waking up confused about where she was and who she was with. That's the risk we have to bear. But we were already given pre-caution, meaning just don't act weird, just try to behave. But there are still weird things happening. That's one of the risks," explained Calvin.

3. Willing to Not Bathe for the Film 'KKN DI DESA PENARI'

In order to play the role of Anton, Calvin was not willing to do things halfway. He was willing to do several things to change his appearance and bring the character of Anton to life.

"Changing Calvin Jeremy's physiological side was also necessary to bring the character of Anton to life, like growing a mustache, gaining weight, and having messy hair. Then, he also got used to not bathing because imagine doing KKN in a remote village where water is scarce," explained the singer of the song 'Maaf'.

4. Javanese Accent is the Biggest Challenge

The film 'KKN DI DESA PENARI' itself is heavily influenced by the Javanese language and accent. Of course, it was also a challenge for Calvin who was not used to using that language in his daily life.

"The Javanese accent was also the biggest challenge, so we were grateful to meet the Yogya kids there, the owner of the Aku Aktor community named Banyu Bening. He accompanied us during our stay there, not only helping us maintain the accent but also keeping our motivation high during every event. However, there will definitely be debates about the Javanese accent," explained Calvin.
