SUHO Feels Like He's 'Blue' and Still Can't Believe EXO is Approaching Their 10th Anniversary, Feels Like It Was Just Four Years Ago

Kapanlagi.com - After serving in the military for almost two years, it didn't take long for SUHO to greet EXO-Ls around the world. After previously holding an online fanmeet, SUHO immediately worked on making a new album.

SUHO's album has been released and has met fans since Monday (4/4/2022). This 6-song album is titled GREY SUIT and all of the songs were written by Suho himself, drawing inspiration from many things.

1. Difference Between First and Second Album

GREY SUIT is SUHO's second album after previously releasing SELF-PORTRAIT. There must be differences or developments from the first album to this newly released one. SUHO also feels that.

"The difference between my first and second solo albums is that I feel more mature and aware of what my choices are. There are some songs in my playlist that I like and they consist of various genres like hip hop, R&B, and rock. Then I realized that those songs have similar melodies and instrumental tones that I like. Because I spent a lot of time listening to music during this one year and nine months, I was able to find what I really like and can now express it. Maybe that's the biggest difference and how I have also grown," said Suho in a press conference for his second album on Monday (4/4/2022).

2. SUHO as a Color

In the title song Grey Suit, the color grey is included which means gray. In the MV, there are also grey and other colors. So what color or keyword describes SUHO?

"If I were to describe myself as a color, I would say blue. Blue is a color that has depth, but also freshness like waves. Blue can also be a perfect color to describe the color of SUHO's music. If the keyword or phrase (to describe Suho) is 'know yourself'," SUHO chose.

3. SUHO's Hopes for the Album GREY SUIT

Everyone has goals or aspirations in life. When asked what SUHO wants to achieve for the GREY SUIT album, he initially found it difficult. But in the end, he was able to explain his desires regarding his new album.

"This is the hardest question. But I want to hear people say, 'SUHO did what only SUHO could do' and 'This is SUHO'. I believe the greatest happiness from this album is creating my own genre that can be recognized as 'SUHO's music' by anyone, even just through the intro of the song," he hopes.

4. EXO Members on SUHO's Album

Many EXO members have pursued solo careers. They always support each other when someone releases an album. So, what kind of support did the EXO members give to SUHO?

"I don't have much to say about my new album (because I want it to be a surprise). But I did play a few small parts of this song and that song, and they all reacted that the whole song is good and 'very SUHO's song'," he explained.

5. About EXO's 10th Anniversary

EXO will soon celebrate their 10th anniversary in the K-Pop industry. SUHO feels that this is an incredible thing.

"When we debuted, I always saw senior artists celebrating their 10th anniversary. And even though it's our turn now, my heart still feels like it's in the Call Me Baby era or four years after our debut. I still can't believe we're celebrating our 10th anniversary. I want to express my gratitude to EXO - because they are the reason why we've come this far," Suho concluded.
