Don't Be Confused, Noah Re-records Peterpan Songs to be More Contemporary

Kapanlagi.com - The music group Noah will re-record the songs from the album Peterpan in the second chance project. There are several reasons why Ariel, Lukman, and David decided to re-record Peterpan songs. First, Ariel doesn't want people who listen to Noah's songs to be confused.

"Second Chance is abundant, and we want the master to be owned by Noah, not Peterpan. Because when we go everywhere, it becomes confusing. The listeners are not in the Peterpan era anymore, but we sing the song and they listen to it. They want to find it on JOOX and search for 'why is it not Noah, why Peterpan?' so it's a bit confusing," said Ariel in a virtual press conference on Monday (28/6/2021).

"We think it's not quite right. It would be great if all the songs are not confusing anymore," Ariel continued.

The second reason is that Ariel wants to rearrange Peterpan songs using competent and good musical instruments. So, those who listen to Noah's songs will feel pleasant to listen.

"Because as musicians, I'm sure all musicians want to make the first album using the old instruments and then make it again after several decades. It's just a matter of whether there is enough time or not and we are lucky enough to have the opportunity and we want to do it,"

Not all Peterpan songs will have their arrangements changed. However, Noah will change the sound to be more contemporary and pleasant to hear when played on digital music platforms.

"What we did there was indeed rerecord everything. but some things changed and some things didn't. Many arrangements didn't change because we respect that memory," Ariel said.

"So there are some arrangements that we kept the same because we want to keep the memory. But definitely with different instruments and different techniques. So we hope the sound can be even better," Ariel concluded.
