Flash Recording Process, Gledeg Band Ready to Release Their Debut EP After the Song "Dream to Be a Goalkeeper"

Kapanlagi.com – After releasing their first single titled "Dream to Be a Goalkeeper," Gledeg, a band consisting of comedians like Patra Gumala, Wancoy, Oza Rangkuti, and Kicuy Aduy, is ready to launch their debut EP. In an interview with Kapanlagi.com, Patra Gumala and Wancoy revealed interesting details about the rapid production process.

"We made these six songs in just one shift. So from 1 PM, we started in the studio, and by 6 or 7 PM, we were done. Just that fast," Patra revealed.

Wancoy added that although the recording process was quick, mixing and mastering took a little longer.

"For mixing and mastering, it took about two weeks," Wancoy explained.

1. Reveal the Initial Idea

Nevertheless, Gledeg does not only want to be known as a fun band. Patra explains that their initial idea is to do comedy through the medium of music, not just stand-up or other comedic content.

"The initial idea was just to want to band and do comedy through music. Not stand-up, not a podcast, not jokes in content, but through music. But not Teamlo either," said Patra.

Wancoy also emphasizes that although the band members have their own jobs and activities, they are serious about continuing Gledeg's musical journey.

"So far, we are very serious. Many of the kids have their own jobs, and their schedules are different. But the point is, when we get a schedule, we will definitely tighten up the lineup and, God willing, it can last long," Wancoy revealed.

2. Unique Vibe

Not only that, the song "Mimpi Jadi Kiper" which is their mainstay indeed has a unique and interesting vibe. Some people say that this song feels like the vibe of the band Tabraklari which has unique lyrics.

"Maybe that's true, because they were first, what can you do. But I also really like Mesin Tempur. They're crazy," he said.

Patra also stated that the urge to form a band came after watching the performance of Teenage Dead Star, which inspired him to have fun with music.

"But why do I want to form a band? I want to have fun after watching Teenage Dead Star's performance. It feels like, wow, damn, it’s so exciting to be able to band like that," he concluded.
