Regarding the decision to invite both international and local jazz musicians, Bagas Indyatmono, the CEO of Jazz Gunung Indonesia, expressed his reasons. The Jazz Gunung series 3 has a unique color because it showcases the cultural acculturation of local and foreign musicians.
"I want this to be a festival, a festival is a place where we discover something new but also find something familiar. That's why this year we have jazz players from America, from Poland, from France, and suddenly there is Suliyana, Jazz Patrol, and so on. We want to create a cultural acculturation where we get to know each other. So, friends from abroad can understand what Indonesian music is like, and vice versa, friends from Indonesia can also learn, know, and understand how jazz music is played at a festival. But yes, I still say this is Jazz Gunung because you could say 80% of it is still jazz," explained Bagas during the Media Gathering on Friday (8/8/2025).

This music group from Banyuwangi, carrying the ethnic jazz genre, performed several songs, particularly using the spirited Osing language. Jazz Patrol Kawitan performed twice, in the afternoon and evening, and can be enjoyed for free in the MSME trading area.

Continuing the Mountain Jazz event, the Kevin Yosua Trio ft. Fabien Mary took the stage after the venue was drenched in rain. Although their performance was briefly delayed and halted due to the outdoor setting, it did not dampen the spirit of the Kevin Yosua Trio and the audience to enjoy the melodious jazz music. Collaborating with Fabien Mary, a renowned trumpeter from France, the instrumental jazz flowed elegantly, adding a fresh atmosphere after the rain.

At the end of the event, Suliyana & Glam Orchestra performed engagingly with a setlist of songs that were quite familiar to the audience. Performing several dangdut songs infused with jazz music like 'Cundamani', 'Rungkad', 'LDR', and 'Kopi Dangdut', Suliyana & Glam Orchestra successfully brought a lively and spirited atmosphere to this edition of the Jazz Gunung series 3.
The BRI Jazz Gunung Series 3 Ijen event in Banyuwangi has concluded, following series 1 and 2 which were held at Mount Bromo. Throughout the festival, the combination of quality jazz melodies and the natural panorama of Mount Ijen created an experience that was not just entertainment, but also a celebration of harmony between music, visual arts, and nature.
