"In addition to jazz, which has two stages, the sukaria stage and the main stage tonight, we are also holding an outdoor visual art exhibition," said Sigit Pramono on Saturday (9/8/2025).
The visual art exhibition titled 'Fora Fauna' features around 40 works created by alumni and students of ISI Yogyakarta. Dr. Mikke Susanto, MA, as the Curator of the Outdoor Visual Art Exhibition and also a Postgraduate Lecturer at ISI Yogyakarta, explained each work displayed throughout the event venue.

Regarding the decision to invite both local and foreign jazz musicians, Bagas Indyatmono, the CEO of Jazz Gunung Indonesia, expressed his reasons. Jazz Gunung series 3 has a unique color because it showcases cultural acculturation from local and international musicians.
"I want this to be a festival, a festival is a place where we discover something new but also find something familiar. That’s why this year we have jazz players from America, from Poland, from France, and suddenly we have Suliyana, Jazz Patrol, and so on. We want there to be a cultural acculturation where we get to know each other. So the friends from abroad can know what Indonesian music is like, and vice versa, friends from Indonesia can also learn, understand, and get to know how jazz music is played at a festival. But yes, I still say this is Jazz Gunung because you could say 80% of it is still jazz," explained Bagas during the Media Gathering, Friday (8/8/2025).

Continuing the Jazz Gunung event, Kevin Yosua Trio ft. Fabien Mary took the stage after the venue was drenched by rain. Although the performance was temporarily delayed and paused due to the outdoor setting, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of Kevin Yosua Trio and the audience to enjoy the melodious jazz music. Partnering with Fabien Mary, a renowned trumpeter from France, the instrumental jazz music flowed elegantly, adding a fresh atmosphere after the rain.

At the end of the event, Suliyana & Glam Orchestra delivered an engaging performance with a setlist of songs that were quite familiar to the audience. Performing several dangdut songs infused with jazz melodies such as 'Cundamani', 'Rungkad', 'LDR', and 'Kopi Dangdut', Suliyana & Glam Orchestra successfully brought a new, festive, and spirited atmosphere to this edition of the Mountain Jazz series 3.
The BRI Mountain Jazz Series 3 Ijen in Banyuwangi has concluded, following series 1 and 2 which were previously held at Mount Bromo. Throughout the festival, the combination of quality jazz melodies and the natural panorama of Mount Ijen created an experience that was not just entertainment, but also a celebration of harmony between music, visual arts, and nature.
