MV 'In The End' Linkin Park Reaches 1 Billion Views on Youtube

Kapanlagi.com - Linkin Park has achieved another milestone. One of the hit songs from their debut album, In the End, has reached a record of 1 billion views on Youtube. In the End is the second MV by Linkin Park to reach 1 billion views, following Numb in late 2018.

Although it is one of the most popular rock songs of all time, In the End is not the main single from the album Hybrid Theory. In the End was released in October 2000, one month after the debut of One Step Closer. However, the success of this song surpassed the main single of their debut album.

The achievement of In the End was evident since its release. Initially, the album Hybrid Theory only sold 50,000 copies in the first week. After In the End was officially released, album sales reached 4.8 million copies in 2001 alone. Until now, Hybrid Theory has sold more than 27 million copies worldwide, making it the most successful debut album of this century.

Another interesting fact is that the main vocalist of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, initially did not like the song In the End. Chester Bennington himself stated that he did not want the song to be recorded. After seeing the success of In the End, the main vocalist of Linkin Park realized how great the song is.

According to Setlist.fm, In the End is also the most frequently performed song by Linkin Park in the band's concert history, around 747 times; four times more than their main song One Step Closer.
