Petra Sihombing and Rendy Pandugo Want to Stop Singing After Hearing Iwan Fals' Recording

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Iwan Fals re-sang one of his best songs from the album Orang Gila, namely Satu Satu. The song, released in 1994, sees Iwan Fals collaborating again with a number of talented young musicians, such as Petra Sihombing, Baskara (Hindia), and Rendy Pandugo.

These three singers feel happy to be able to collaborate with Iwan Fals. Moreover, Iwan Fals is the only singer in Indonesia who has great works and so many fans.

"Who doesn't want to collaborate with uncle Iwan, this has been my dream since I was a child. Of course, everyone wants to," said Baskara in a virtual press conference, Thursday (12/8/2021).

During the production of the song "Satu Satu", Petra Sihombing's role is not only to contribute her voice. But, she is also the one who modernizes the song "Satu Satu".

"In terms of the song, Petra was the main pilot. Petra is already complete as a music producer. If her hard drive is opened, it's like a digital music service. She finally got the trust to rearrange Uncle Iwan's song," said Baskara.

1. Feeling Tense

Both Petra Sihombing, Baskara (Hindia), and Rendy Pandugo feel tense when working on Iwan Fals' song "Satu Satu". According to Baskara, "Satu Satu" is one of Iwan Fals' songs that is very sacred.

"Behind the calmness, there's a lot of tension, bro. It's not just for Petra or for me. The song satu satu is sacred, it's not just any song given trust. This song is held and remixed. I can imagine how heavy it is for Petra. Fortunately, we are both very satisfied with the result," said Baskara.

"We took turns on the vocals, when Mr. Iwan finished, Petra and Randy asked me to stop singing too. He wanted to go back to being a designer after hearing Mr. Iwan's recording. Hahaha," Baskara concluded.

This collaboration is the latest project from Indosat Ooredoo to celebrate the Independence Day of Indonesia with the campaign name "Bersatu untuk Merdeka" (United for Freedom). On this occasion, Indosat also introduced an online store created to facilitate its customers during this pandemic era.
