Spain Champion, Indonesia Fair Play Team at the Mini Community World Cup in Qatar

Kapanlagi.com - The Mini Community World Cup (World Football Communities Championship) is being held for the first time in Doha, Qatar on January 24-25, 2025. The tournament for participants over 40 years old concluded today with the presentation of trophies and individual awards.

This tournament is supported by 14 Ambassadors in Qatar and is organized through the initiative of IFQ, Permiqa, and the Indonesian Alumni Football Brotherhood. The tournament competes for, among other things, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia's Trophy for Qatar, Ridwan Hassan, as well as authorities in football and business in Qatar.

The final match took place at Aspire Football Academy, one of the best football academies in the world that serves as a training ground for potential players from major clubs like PSG, Manchester City, and also Garudayaksa.

Spain emerged as the Champion by defeating England in the final with a score of 4-1. The Indonesian team, which managed to hold England to a 1-1 draw, lost out on points to reach the final. However, the Indonesian team was selected as the Best Fair Play Team.

Riza Wibawa as the OC feels proud that Indonesia could be an initiator. Vidi Vicialyandrie, the Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association in Qatar (IFQ), warmly welcomed all the teams consisting of 6 teams including Turkey, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

The series of tournaments concluded with an exhibition match between 14 ambassadors against the Indonesian team over the age of 45. Indonesia won 3-2 through goals from Rahmat Masud (18), Effendi Gazali (26), and Sudirman (33).

"Actually, many wanted to participate, but for the first time, our entire international community could only accommodate 6 teams. Next year, there will be teams from South Asia, Latin America, and Africa," said Ridwan Hassan, the Indonesian Ambassador.
