Wiping her tears, Tamara revealed that the public prosecutor (JPU) is now filing a cassation after the appeal results at the High Court still upheld the decision of the East Jakarta District Court.

"The appeal results are in, and the results still align with the decision of the East Jakarta District Court. So the high court determined it remains 20 years, but now the JPU is filing a cassation. So now it goes to the Supreme Court," explained Tamara when met in the Gudang Peluru area, Tebet, South Jakarta, on Monday (27/1/2025).

This long legal process has not made the 29-year-old mother give up. Tamara stated that she, along with the legal team and the JPU, continues to fight for justice for Dante to be truly upheld.

"Still continuing on, please pray that all the processes go smoothly. We are still fighting because the appeal has been completed, but it turns out there is still a cassation," she said with tears streaming down her face.

For Tamara, achieving justice for Dante is the top priority. She admits she never feels tired in this process, especially since many parties support her in seeking justice.

"Never tired, to achieve justice. The public prosecutor is also working very hard, having submitted a cassation, thank God I am surrounded by good people, who also want to seek justice for Dante," Tamara expressed with emotion.

When asked about her hopes regarding the sentence for the defendant, Tamara did not hesitate to express her desire for the maximum sentence proposed by the public prosecutor to be granted. "I want the sentence to be in accordance with the prosecutor's demands. The public prosecutor is demanding the death penalty, so we want it to be as severe as possible," she asserted.

When asked what she would do if the death penalty could not be granted, Tamara admitted she had not thought about it. She hopes the Supreme Court can provide the best decision for this case. "I don't know yet, that's why I really want the judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia to reject the defendant's appeal, because a life truly has no substitute, no matter what the punishment is, even if it's the death penalty, Dante's life cannot be compensated," concluded Tamara with teary eyes.
