A List of Artists Involved in the Net89 Robot Trading Investment Case, Police Reveal Their Status

Kapanlagi.com - The alleged fraud case of the Net89 robot trading investment has been ongoing since it first emerged in 2022. Several well-known artists, such as Atta Halilintar, Taqy Malik, Kevin Aprilio, Mario Teguh, and Adry Prakarsa, have been implicated in this case and have undergone questioning by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Indonesian National Police.

The Director of Special Economic Crimes (Dirtipideksus) of the Criminal Investigation Department, Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf, explained that the artists are still being questioned as witnesses.

"The status of the artists has been examined. Currently, they are still being questioned with the existing statements," he said to the media.

1. Artist Testimony Required to Strengthen Case File

According to Helfi, the testimonies of the artists are needed to strengthen the case files of the suspects. "This will not diminish the witnesses that were already present yesterday in the first stage of filing. So, it only reinforces with additional witnesses," he explained.

The Net89 case involves victims reaching 7,000 people with total losses that have not been precisely detailed. The official report related to this alleged fraud was registered at the Bareskrim Polri on October 26, 2022, with the number LP/B/0614/X/2022/SPKT/Bareskrim Polri.

One of the artists being investigated is Atta Halilintar, who is suspected of being involved through the sale of a bandana to one of the suspects, Reza Shahrani alias Reza Paten, for Rp2.2 billion. The bandana has now been confiscated by investigators as evidence.

2. Police Set 14 Individual Suspects and 1 Corporation

In addition, Kevin Aprilio is suspected to be one of the victims of the Net89 investment scheme. Meanwhile, Taqy Malik is being investigated regarding the auction of a bicycle purchased by Reza Paten for Rp777 million. Mario Teguh was also briefly questioned because he had attended as a motivator at the Sukses 89 community event organized by the suspect.

So far, the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency has named 14 individual suspects and one corporation in this case. Of the total suspects, nine have been detained, two have not been detained due to illness, while three others are still at large.

"From the results of our investigation, 15 suspects have been determined," said Brigadier General Helfi.

3. Case Involves Names of Major Public Figures

This case has attracted public attention because it involves major names in the entertainment and business world. Although their status is still as witnesses, the presence of these artists in the series of the Net89 case has drawn attention.

According to Helfi, the investigation aims to ensure that every party involved, whether directly or indirectly, can be held accountable under the law.
