Agus Yudhoyono Wants Baby Arjuna to Be a Son Who Contributes to the Country

"Wow, this question jumps 20 years into the future, huh? (laughs). But that's good, it's also the hope of every parent to prepare the best. I don't want to speculate too much. For me, the most important thing is how he grows up well, healthy, and smart in body and soul," said Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono when met at Pondok Indah Hospital, South Jakarta, on Monday (30/3/2026).

AHY emphasized that he would give his son the freedom to choose his own path in life. However, as a father, he admitted he would be very proud if his child could provide great benefits to the wider community.

"But in the end, I want Arjuna to become a son who contributes to his country. Whether in the military path, I would certainly be proud, or in another path—earlier I asked about military or politics—he could do both like I did back then (smiles). But whatever he chooses, as long as it is a good, honorable, and noble path," he continued.

The name Arjuna was chosen not without reason, but as a hope that the child would have integrity as a knight. AHY wants the noble values of their ancestors to be preserved through their son.

"Arjuna is a character who is considered a knight with courage, intelligence, and integrity. His heart is gentle, wise, but firm in principle, steadfast in values. So of course our prayers and hopes are that our son Arjuna will also have such qualities," he explained.

Now, AHY is enjoying the early moments with his baby boy. He also detailed the physical specifications of his second son, who was born with an ideal weight.

"Then last night, finally at 19:28 WIB, our son was born weighing 3.076 kg and measuring 49 cm. A baby boy whom we named: Arjuna Hanyokrokusumo Yudhoyono," he concluded.
