The Name Arjuna Hanyokrokusumo is Apparently a Gift from Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono

Kapanlagi.com - The name of the second son of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and Annisa Pohan actually holds a very strong family lineage history. The name "Hanyokrokusumo" given to the baby is a direct suggestion from the grandfather, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

AHY explained that his father has a very profound philosophical consideration regarding that name. Through this name, it is hoped that the grandson can inherit the patriotic spirit from the ancestors and great figures of the kingdoms in Indonesia.

1. Yudhoyono Family Tree

The Yudhoyono family tree, which has lineage from great kingdoms, serves as a strong foundation in the selection of this identity. AHY feels proud to be able to pass on these noble values to his son.

"His middle name, Hanyokrokusumo. I apologize if I still fumble a bit, I’ve only been a father (again) for 12 hours. Hanyokrokusumo is actually a name I requested from Mr. SBY. I certainly consider him to have much more wisdom," said Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono when met at Pondok Indah Hospital, South Jakarta, on Monday (30/3/2026).\

"And one of the most successful kings, including one who was very patriotic in fighting against colonization, is Sultan Agung with the title Hanyokrokusumo," he added.

2. Mr. SBY's Wishes

This naming is also based on Mr. SBY's desire to honor the ancestors through his sixth grandchild. AHY elaborated on how their family lineage intersects with the history of great kingdoms in the archipelago.

"Mr. SBY happens to have a direct lineage from Majapahit. That is why our daughter 'Tunggadewi' is from the third queen of Majapahit, Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. Meanwhile, from another lineage, Mr. SBY also inherits descent from the Islamic Mataram Kingdom, primarily Hamengkubuwono III," he explained.

3. Hope for Arjuna

Great hopes are placed so that the son possesses the characteristics of a knight who is intelligent yet remains humble. AHY wants Arjuna to grow into a strong leader who firmly upholds life principles.

"Arjuna is one of the main characters, the main knight in the epic Mahabharata. Arjuna is a character considered to be a knight with courage, intelligence, and integrity. His heart is gentle, wise, but strong in principles, steadfast in values," he added.

4. Grateful for a Safe Delivery

This birth also marks a happy news that completes the history of AHY's small family. He is grateful for the safe delivery experienced by his beloved wife.

"Our beloved wife, Annisa Larasati Pohan binti Aulia Tantawi Pohan, has safely given birth to our second child, a baby boy," concluded AHY.
