Allegedly a Victim of Bullying, Ummi Pipik Officially Reports to the Police Aiming to Create a Deterrent Effect

Ummi Pipik has finally reported the alleged bullying she experienced to the Metro Jaya Police. The report was made on Thursday (22/5/2025) accompanied by her attorney, Rendy Anggara Putra.

"Yes, as a citizen I have the right to report... against me, so I came here to make the report," said Ummi Pipik when met at the Metro Jaya Police.

The report relates to several tweets on social media that are considered to contain elements of insult and defamation. Ummi Pipik's attorney emphasized that this legal action is taken as a form of education.

"The report is related to the tweets that are more about bullying. Since the government has been promoting anti-bullying, this is more about providing a lesson, a deterrent effect," explained Ummi Pipik.

Rendy Anggara stated that the report has been supplemented with evidence such as screenshots of tweets and video clips from the podcast. For now, there are two reported social media accounts.

"Our evidence includes screenshots of tweets from X, and also screenshots of video clips from the podcast. So that is what has provided the evidence," said Rendy.

The report filed by Ummi Pipik is based on Article 27 of the ITE Law in conjunction with Articles 310 and 311 of the Penal Code. The next process is now fully handed over to the police investigators.

"So we hand over the next process to the police regarding how this case will be followed up," Rendy continued.

Abidzar, Ummi Pipik's child, emphasized his commitment to oversee this case until it is resolved. He mentioned that this legal action is a form of protection for his mother.

"Going back to what I said yesterday, I am the one who filed the summons, I am the one who started all of this, so I will continue to oversee it from beginning to end," Abidzar asserted.

Nevertheless, Umi Pipik ensured that her activities are not disrupted by the ongoing legal process. "No, thank God everything is going smoothly. I just got back from preaching and came straight here," she said.
