Behind the smiles and laughter he always displays on screen, comedian Bedu apparently harbors a deep inner struggle. His decision to file for divorce from his wife after 15 years of building a household was not an easy one.

Met after the first hearing at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Tuesday (30/09/2025), the 46-year-old comedian poured out his heart. He admitted to having tried repeatedly to be patient and to overcome various trials in his marriage.

For Bedu, 15 years is a long journey that he has gone through with great struggle. He and his wife have faced the same problems many times and have always managed to overcome them thanks to their patience. However, this time the situation is different.

"What I have said in the media before is that indeed patience has no limits. But, as humans, Allah created us, everything that Allah created has its measure. Even the ability of humans to be patient has its limits," said Bedu.

This father of three feels that separation is the best solution to avoid the same problems from recurring in the future. He does not want his household to continue in a cycle of endless problems.

"What are you worried about? Worried that old problems will arise again, and in the end, our household will run in ways like this again," he stated.

This decision, according to Bedu, has been approved by his wife. They have made peace with the situation and agreed to follow their own paths for the common good.

"So, yes, we both agreed, 'Let's make peace in this situation.' The wife also agreed, thank God," he continued.

Now, Bedu can only surrender and pray that the path he takes is the best. He hopes to maintain a good relationship with his ex-wife in the future.
