Declared Guilty, Prosecutor Demands 1.5 Years of Imprisonment for Reza Artamevia

Kapanlagi.com - After being postponed 3 times, finally the Public Prosecutor (JPU) read out the demand against artist Reza Artamevia who is the defendant in a drug abuse case. The late Adjie Massaid's wife was declared guilty of the crime of drug abuse of category 1. In accordance with Article 127 paragraph 1 regarding Narcotics.

"Declares the defendant Reza Artamevia binti Adang Suharman proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing the crime of drug abuse of category 1 for herself as stated in the second indictment of Article 127 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 35 of 2009 Regarding Narcotics," said the JPU in the drug case trial at the East Jakarta District Court on Thursday (20/5).

1. Demand for 1.5 Years of Imprisonment

In his demand, the prosecutor requested the judge to impose a sentence on Reza Artamevia for 1 year and 6 months or 1.5 years reduced by the period of detention while undergoing this case.

"Imposing a sentence on the defendant, Reza Artamevia binti Adang Suharman, for 1 year and 6 months reduced while the defendant undergoes rehabilitation at the BNN Lido Rehabilitation Center with an order for the defendant to be detained," said the prosecutor.

2. Plea Hearing Next Week

With the aforementioned demand read, Reza Artamevia's legal counsel will submit a plea or defense note to be read at the upcoming trial scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2021.

As a reminder, Reza Artamevia was apprehended at a restaurant in the Jatinegara area on September 4, 2020. From the arrest, the police successfully found evidence in the form of a clip containing 0.78 grams of methamphetamine.
