Doctor Reza Gladys Appreciates Polda Metro Jaya Regarding the Detention of Nikita Mirzani

Nikita and her assistant, Mail Syahputra, have officially been detained by the police of Polda Metro Jaya after undergoing questioning on Tuesday (3/4/2025). This detention is a follow-up to the report filed by Doctor Reza Gladys, a local skincare brand owner.

Reza Gladys expressed gratitude to the police for their swift handling of the report. Reza's legal counsel, Julianus P. Sembiring, stated that this step proves that no one is above the law, including Nikita Mirzani, who has long been known as a controversial celebrity.

“My client, Doctor Reza Gladys, and I would like to thank the Indonesian police, especially the Cyber Crime Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya,” said Julianus P. Sembiring while speaking to the media some time ago.

Julianus also emphasized that his client respects the ongoing legal process. He ensured that from the beginning, Reza Gladys and her team have been cooperative and adhered to legal principles in addressing this case.

“I think this way, the legal process is ongoing. We respect that. In principle, our client has adhered to legal principles from the start,” added Julianus.

Reza Gladys and her husband also provided comments regarding the detention of Nikita and her assistant. They explained that the decision to detain was entirely in the hands of the police and not at their request.

“This is not our client's will, this is not our client's desire, but what can we do?” said Julianus representing his client.

Furthermore, Julianus explained that Reza Gladys actually does not like commotion and never hoped for this case to occur. However, in order to defend herself and seek justice, legal action became the only path that had to be taken.

“Our client does not like commotion and actually did not want this to happen. But to defend herself, perhaps this is one way to do it,” he said.

The investigators from the Cyber Crime Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police detained Nikita and Mail on suspicion of extortion, threats, and money laundering (TPPU). This case has attracted public attention, considering Nikita's status as a figure who often draws the spotlight.

2. Respected Legal Process

The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Ade Ary, confirmed the detention status of the two suspects. Ade Ary explained that the investigators had conducted a case presentation before finally deciding to detain Nikita and Mail for the next 20 days.

“After conducting examinations of the two suspects, namely NM and IM, a case presentation was held again, and subsequently, the investigators have detained both suspects,” said Kombes Pol Ade Ary at his office on Tuesday (4/3/2025).

According to Kombes Ade Ary, this detention is carried out to further investigate the alleged extortion and threats reported by Reza Gladys. This process also aims to complete the case files before being submitted to the prosecutor's office.

“For the next 20 days, both suspects are being detained by the investigators,” added Ade Ary.

Nikita Mirzani's detention adds to the long list of controversies involving the artist. However, this case also serves as a reminder that the law applies equally to everyone without exception. The Reza Gladys party hopes this case can be resolved quickly and provide justice for all parties involved.
